About Sean Martin, CISSP
With over three decades of experience in the field of technology and information security, Sean Martin is a seven-time recipient of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and a respected long-standing member in the community. As a proven Product and Program Manager, Martin spearheaded the development and launch of hundreds of products, frequently pioneering new markets and categories in cybersecurity and earning accolades from the industry analyst community. Many of these products were organically built from the ground up, showcasing originality and innovation, rather than being acquired and re-packaged.
Martin has notably co-founded the ITSPmagazine Podcast Network, where he presently serves as the Director of Operations and Programming in addition to being the host of the Redefining CyberSecurity Podcast and author of The Future of Cybersecurity Newsletter. The ITSPmagazine Podcast Network produces informative podcasts that examine the vital issues sitting at the Intersection of Technology, Cybersecurity, and Society™. As the network's director, Martin masterfully manages the programming and editorial content of this digital publication which has produced over 1,600 episodes and generated over 1 million episode downloads.
Furthermore, Martin is an accomplished speaker, moderator, and broadcaster, dedicated to championing the importance of technology and cybersecurity across all facets of human life and business.
Martin has established himself as a leading authority in the cybersecurity field, having recorded and produced thousands of globally published articles and podcasts. His wide-ranging expertise spans security management, hybrid multi-cloud computing, platform engineering, enterprise mobility, application and API security, and advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and quantum computing. He also explores the topics of InfoSec awareness, education, bug bounties, and red/blue/purple team dynamics, in addition to one of his main passions of governance, risk, and compliance. His keen insights frequently cater to industry-specific sectors, including government, finance, healthcare, insurance, law, manufacturing, aerospace, media & entertainment, and supply chains, including the government polices, standards, and frameworks by which they are guided.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Martin also contributes to academia as an adjunct professor at the Graziadio Business School, where he is also a member of its Cyber Risk Professional Advisory Board.
